🚨 UPDATE: Co-Founder & CEO of Med2Market and Life Tree Anatomical charged in connection with Austin mortuary ‘experiments’

New details have emerged: Dr. Aaron Ashoka Ali, Co-Founder & CEO of MedtoMarket and Life Tree Anatomical, is now facing criminal charges linked to the alleged unauthorized “experiments” on human remains at Capital Mortuary Services in Austin, TX.

Charges include:

- Abuse of a co**se without legal authority (State jail felony)

- Aggravated perjury (3rd-degree felony)

Why is he being charged with perjury?

Dr. Ali testified under oath before Texas lawmakers, the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services, on April 16th, just days before his arrest, specifically about Senate Bill 2721, a new law meant to fix the very problems he’s now accused of exploiting.

🤔 What is S.B. 2721 about?

This bill, going into effect September 1, 2025, creates stricter rules for how donated human bodies are tracked, used, and respected in Texas.

It:
- Requires a secure tracking system for all donated remains

- Limits who can receive bodies (licensed medical schools, not just private labs)

- Makes it illegal to mishandle donations

- Gives the Texas FuneralService Commission more power to inspect and revoke licenses

- Sets penalties for breaking the rules

Bottom line: This law is designed to protect donors, families, and public trust and prevent abuses like the ones now under investigation.

Families deserve transparency. We’ll keep monitoring this case, providing updates and services you can trust.
