St. Benedict Coffee Company

We had a lovely day serving our donors, friends and family today! It was a good practice run for our staff and the turn out was great.

The plan is to soft open this week, so bear with us as we adjust to the day to day operations, observe supply quantities and begin to hire and train more staff. We want this business to be a gift to your community and we look forward to inviting new faces to the team.

As some of you have heard, March 21st, the date of our first re-opening day was the original Feast Day of St. Benedict of Nursia, the day of his death. There been many grace filled connections to this day and this business and with some special people in our community. We would love to share some of those stories with you one day!

But for now, we wanted to inform y'all that our intention with the GoFund Me page was always to try to "pay it forward" when the time was right. It seems that God is calling us to do that right now! We feel especially called to donate a portion of our profits, at the end of this month to a charity specifically for those with Downs Syndrome. This will be in honor of one of our amazing donors. Our opening day also happened to coinside with National Down Syndrome Day!

We have been given the opportunity to relaunch our coffee truck at the University Catholic Center at the University of Texas in Austin—a place where faith, fellowship, and service are lived out daily. This opportunity feels like a true answer to prayer and a chance to begin again with humility, renewed hope, and trust in God’s timing.
