So loneliness, depression, and back pain are all linked.
If this is true it doesn’t bode well for chronic pain patients who already feel isolated and depressed which actually makes back pain worse!
I hope this number is wrong? Let me know!
May is the month your back hates most — and most people never see it coming 😩
You spent all winter resting. Now you’re suddenly hunched over a garden bed for three hours straight, twisting to reach the far corner, and hauling a 40lb bag of mulch with a rounded spine.
That’s not gardening. That’s a back injury waiting to happen.
Three things wreck backs every spring:
↳ Sustained forward flexion (hovering over beds for too long)
↳ Twisting while reaching (your discs do not love this)
↳ Lifting heavy bags before your body is warmed up
And the cruelest part? You feel fine while you’re doing it. The bill comes the next morning.
Here’s the one mindset shift that changes everything: treat yardwork like a workout.
Warm up before you go outside. Take breaks every 20–30 minutes. Don’t try to do the whole yard on the first nice day of the year.
Your garden will still be there tomorrow. Your back will thank you.

Are patients going to be better off or worse off??
‘The system, sold by Doctronic, is designed to conduct a “comprehensive medical assessment” that “mirrors the clinical decision-making process a licensed physician would follow.”1 Initially focusing on prescription renewals, the software is slated to prescribe almost 200 drugs, including corticosteroids, statins, antidepressants, hormones, and anticlotting agents.’
Are we thinking they will help chronic pain patient access medication for better QOL?
Perhaps they would warn about risks of things like Gabapentin and have better suggestions??

🌱 Got back pain but love gardening? Stop making these mistakes! ❌
1. Bending from your waist — Always hinge at your hips and keep your spine neutral. Your lower back will thank you! 🙏
2. Staying in one position too long — Switch tasks every 15–20 mins to avoid stiffness. Set a timer if you have to! ⏱️
3. Using the wrong tools — Long-handled tools mean less bending. Work smarter, not harder! 🛠️
Your garden shouldn’t cost you your health. Save this before your next session! 💚
