Detailing the S650 Eclipse requires a sealing system that can handle massive glass spans, a 1” interlock, and a zero-threshold finish without failing at the rough opening.

The Detail:
We are using illbruck ME508 Duo Window Membrane to bridge the frame to the ZIP System.

Why Duo:
• Intelligent V***r Control: It’s a “Duo” membrane, meaning it’s engineered for both Interior and Exterior application. Its variable SD value adapts to humidity levels, preventing moisture entrapment.
• Dynamic Movement: Aluminum expands; wood shrinks. ME508 remains flexible, maintaining a permanent watertight bond where traditional tapes often “fish-mouth” or de-bond.

• ZIP System Integration: By lapping ME508 over the ZIP-taped RO, we create a continuous, monolithic drainage plane that is bulletproof against Texas driving rain.
