For this week’s post, we go back to the 2025 TDA Meeting, when DENPAC Chair Dr. Lee Clitheroe addressed the TDA House of Delegates to emphasize the important role DENPAC plays in TDA’s advocacy efforts on behalf of organized dentistry!

For this week’s post, we go back to April 2025, when Dr. Brooke Elmore testified on behalf of TDA & TAGD in support of SB 1117, which would have allowed Texans access to dentists who can safely administer Botox for aesthetic purposes.

Dentists possess deep expertise in facial anatomy, making them exceptionally qualified to perform these procedures. Texans deserve expanded access to safe, aesthetic care.

Despite strong efforts, this bill did not pass last session, but TDA will continue the push next session.

We are grateful to Dr. Ellmore for her testimony and for Sen. Charles Schwertner who championed this cause and tried to pass this access to care bill!
