What do you do with edition when South by is over? Cut it into a billion 2 inch strips, fold them like they are bias tape, fold them in half then into fourths so they are half an inch wide, glue them so the edges are inside. Finally weave them together

Did you know that I am a former Montessori teacher and a Montessori student? I taught for infants and toddlers for 20 years before leaving the classroom in 2019 when I was pregnant with my daughter. And while I don’t foresee going back into the classroom I really miss making materials for the class. My daughter does attend a Montessori school and felt so honored when her teacher asked if I could help make some math materials for the class.
In making these materials I realized that I could use the same pattern to make polishing and drying mitts for practical life lessons and add them to my market repertoire.
Also if you are curious about the Montessori method, child development, or anything else that pertains to the young child I’m always happy to chat, I do have another account that is dedicated to all things Montessori and parentjng

1 curtain + 1 pillow case = 4 sweet bags, with the possibility for a few more to be made.

Do you ever have one of those projects that you work on whenever you have a moment or two of extra time, sometimes it just sits there in the back your head every now and then popping up to remind you it’s still there?
Back in February I was driving through a neighborhood to drop off some materials, to a small in home school. When I saw it. This blue cabinet that had seen some things and was a little roughed up. It called out to me and I knew I could give it a new life. So in those rare moments that I had nothing else going on I was cleaning it, dismantling it, stripping it sanding it, more stripping it, more sanding it, and even more sanding it. Until finally there was an end in sight. It took a little more stripping using several different tools and a bit more sandpaper then I saw a brand on it, it was originally from . With that I started to repaint, adding in a few little unique touches, and restained it a light color than what it was originally.
5 months later, more hours than I care to count, the little cabinet has been given a new life and will be used as a food prep area for my little one.
