In light of the recent devastating floods impacting communities across my home state of Texas, and other parts of the U.S., we want to acknowledge the hardships many of you are facing and extend our heartfelt support.

Although these disasters are geographically localized, their emotional and psychological toll is far-reaching—especially for children, families, and educators preparing for a new school year.

As you prepare to welcome students back to the classroom in the coming weeks, we recognize that many may be returning with experiences of trauma, displacement, or loss stemming from the recent floods.

To support you in meeting these challenges, we've compiled a list of resources designed to help educators foster resilience, provide emotional support, and create safe, nurturing learning environments.
