This energy is wild man lol I am so tired and super anxious for no obvious reason. Instead of fighting the feeling, Im riding the wave doing relaxing activities. How are you guys taking care of yourself right now? 💜

When someone experiences layers of trauma, we build up defenses to shield ourselves from further hurt. Which is needed at the time to shelter us from more harm. The downside is when you are now in a safe space and still have your defenses up. You end up blocking happiness, joy and abundance in your life. You will of course experience glimmers of it but it will not last if you’re waiting for the next shoe to drop or are searching for danger. As you go along your healing journey you will realize you can slowly disarm your protection and allow in more true happiness. You have the tools and knowledge to keep yourself safe from now on if danger ever shows up again. You don’t need to worry anymore. Give yourself grace and compassion as you disassemble your armor and thank your past self for keeping you safe when it was needed.
