Discovered an open wire splice literally hanging by a string in an attic during a recent inspection. The potential threat this poses to the home is vast simply because open wire splices have the potential to cause fires within the home by over-heating or sparking over time. Open wire splices can be dangerous and should be tended to as early as possible when noticed!
