Austin Community Advancement Brigade

Hello! We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves, shed some light on who we are & how we operate:

We hate cops & refuse to work with them. ACAB.

We are an autonomous group, we do not fall under any “umbrella”.

Starting last October, we began organizing to provide hot meals & masks to our unhoused neighbors in east Austin, and built relationships to start offering a deeper level of care: sourcing tents, providing first aid, reactivating phones.

We do not put the people we serve on display in order to advance our image. It is dehumanizing and attracts harmful attention from cops, reactionaries, and phony careerist do-gooders.

We are committed to elevating the material conditions of the people we work with outside the logic of the state and other oppressive institutions which ultimately perpetuate systemic impoverishment.

We’ve been told repeatedly by the people we serve that we have done far more for them than the City of Austin ever has. Period. @ East Austin, Austin

over the last 2 weekends, ACAB has distributed 393 meals- not including the sausage we gave to Team Brownsville that went towards feeding 800 ♥️
