Capital A Housing

Last Friday, we were delighted to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Seabrook Square Phase Two, the permanent supportive housing component to be operated by Integral Care to serve those struggling with mental health, substance abuse disorder, and chronic homelessness. A huge thank you to the teams at Integral Care, Forge Craft Architecture, past and current Austin City Council, Austin Housing Finance Corporation, and Travis County for countless hours of collaboration to better serve the Austin community.

We are so excited to share that Capital A Housing, the Austin Housing Finance Corporation and The NHP Foundation will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony of Seabrook Square from 10AM - 11:30AM on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024! RSVP at [email protected].

Seabrook Square is a 100% affordable apartment building in addition to supportive housing with services provided by Integral Care. Seabrook Square will be partnering with various East Austin artists and community organizations on-site, such as in the Sun and Origin Studio House. There will also be 10 affordable live-work art studios selected by SixSquare District, a community organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of black Austinites in central east Austin. These studios and community spaces will surround a pedestrian plaza featuring two heritage trees that were moved across the site early in construction.
