Community is key!
This article touches on a critical element of happiness; community. I am all about doing new things, learning & challenging myself, but just as important are the people I encounter along the way. Each new endeavor opens me up to new people that I get to know & work with.
An 85-year Harvard study on happiness found the No. 1 retirement challenge that 'no one talks about' In 1938, Harvard researchers embarked on a decades-long study to find out: What is the secret to a happy life, especially in retirement? They found a common theme about the biggest challenge retirees face that is rarely talked about.
I have learned that what drives me in retirement is mastery. It's less about WHAT I'm doing and more about the learning process. I love a challenge!
Finding Mastery - this is what I realized was the common thread in what I am pursing.
