This is a series I call “Pork chops in the wild.”

On a recent project, I found myself researching boxed eaves and the design options we have for resolving where the eaves meets the gable rake (aka, the corner juncture at the gable end of a roof). In conditions where there is no “eave return,” this can result in a so-called “pork chop”(named for the shape it creates). So while in Norway, I did a little field study of various “pork chops.” Here’s a few 😊.
