‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬
Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

Satan knows and uses scripture.

Just because someone quotes The Bible, or uses the name of Jesus, does not mean the message they are sharing is true and from God.

Anyone can take a verse or section from The Bible out of context to "prove a point".

How exactly did Jesus resist the devil? ⬇️

♟️ The devil references Psalm 91:11-12 OUT OF CONTEXT, to fit his own agenda.
♟️ The devil leaves... why?
✝️ ONLY after Jesus repeatedly submits to God and resists temptation.

✝️ Jesus DID NOT ignore, meditate/quiet his mind, search for inner peace/stillness, NOR give in to temptation.
✝️ Jesus ONLY answers with the word of God from The Bible - "it is written"

Below are the Bible verses referenced in Matthew 4:1-11 ⬇️

▫️“And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 8:3 ESV

▫️For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.
Psalm 91:11-12 ESV
You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Psalm 91:13-‬16 ESV
(adding the rest of Psalms 91 for context)

▫️“You shall not put the Lord your God to the test, as you tested him at Massah.
Deuteronomy 6:16 ESV

▫️It is the Lord your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear.
Deuteronomy 6:13 ESV
▫️You shall fear the Lord your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear.
Deuteronomy 10:20 ESV

We are in a spiritual war over our mind, body, and soul. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Take every thought captive.
