OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has sparked debate after describing a future where artificial intelligence could be treated like a utility service.
He compared AI to services like electricity, water, and WiFi.
Speaking at an event in Washington, D.C., Altman suggested that “intelligence” could one day be something people buy based on usage, similar to paying an electricity bill.
His vision shows AI as an important part of daily life, business, and decision-making.
According to this idea, AI could work in the background like basic infrastructure that supports many parts of society.
However, critics have raised concerns about control, access, and inequality.
They say powerful AI systems could become too concentrated in the hands of a few major companies.
Some also questioned what would happen if people had to pay for advanced “cognitive power” based on how much they use it.

A 29-year-old former train driver from China has created a 3.5-minute AI short film for just $440 and received a Hollywood job offer.
Liu Ziyu made the AI-generated short film, called Zombie Scavenger, in only 10 days.
The story is inspired by Pixar’s WALL-E and is described as an AI-made love story.
Surprisingly, Liu had no background in filmmaking, art, or computer science.
He only started using AI video tools earlier this year.
The film went viral after Hollywood AI filmmaker PJ Accetturo praised it as one of the best short films he had seen in years.
He also publicly offered Liu a job.
The AI short film has now crossed 60 million views worldwide, while Liu says he plans to continue making future projects in China.

US President Donald Trump has reportedly admitted that there were miscalculations before the attack on Iran.
The statement has gained attention as the U.S. and Iran continue negotiations over a possible peace deal.
Reports say Trump still maintains that Iran must not develop nuclear weapons, while U.S. officials have warned that strikes could resume if talks fail.
However, there is no clear official confirmation that Trump directly said the U.S. “should not have attacked Iran.”
