Tony demonstrates the most playable tape echo ever made. The HH Slider Echo was made in England by HH Electronics. It was not produced in vast numbers and as a result it’s hard to find one in any condition, let alone working faultlessly. Unlike the Roland Space Echo, which uses a similar arrangement for the tape tray, the Slider Echo’s capstan pushes, rather than pulls, the tape. This can make it more problematic which is not helped by the lack of replacement pinch rollers. That said, when you get a good one, they are without equal.
