Congrats to Metea Valley’s Leadership Award in Student Journalism recipients!

National Scholastic Press Association, the nation’s largest association for scholastic journalists, has named approximately 1,500 high-school journalists as recipients of its Leadership Award in Student Journalism.

To earn the NSPA Leadership Award in Student Journalism, a high school student must serve with distinction for at least two years on the staff of an NSPA-member broadcast, literary arts magazine, newspaper/newsmagazine, specialty magazine, website or yearbook by the end of the current school year.

With heavy hearts, we sadly announce that Marty the Mustang has passed away due to a documented decline in school spirit.

Once a symbol of pride and unity, Marty’s absence reflects a broader need for renewed energy, engagement, and Mustang pride within the community. Let this serve as a call to restore the spirit that defines us.
