Join Anderson’s Bookshop for a Pride Panel event with David Levithan and Gabriel Duckels, to celebrate the release of The Fight of Our Lives: AIDS in America on Tuesday, June 30th at 7:00 pm in our Naperville store. Levithan and Duckels will be in conversation with author Maia Kobabe and illustrator Lucky Srikumar, celebrating the release of Opting Out.

Event Format

We will begin checking you in approximately 30 minutes before the start time. After a presentation and Q&A with the authors, the line will form in numbered order with the following guidelines:

Posed photo with your camera taken by our staff

There is a limit of 2 books from home to be signed per author (unless otherwise stated)

There is a limit of 1 personalization per author (unless otherwise stated)

All events have open seating. The “Order Line Number” on your pdf ticket is your reserved place in the signing line. You will line up to meet the authors based on that number.

If you cannot attend, you must pick up your book (if included with ticket) at the hosting store within 30 days of the event. We can ship that book to you for an additional charge of $9.99; please call the store to arrange that.

Pre-registration is required for this event because space is limited.

Now that the Aurora's 7th Annual Pride Parade is a few days behind us, all we can say is 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔!

While this post would be far too long to name everyone individually, there are a few groups we would like to make special mention of because without our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners, none of this could happen.

❤️ To our 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, the true heart of our volunteer groups, doing any and every job we need them for... including the not-so-fun ones.

❤️ To our 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬, your funding makes this all possible. Operating as a 501c3 non-profit has its limitations, which often comes in the form of money. Every dollar that we can raise, ensures a Pride Parade (and hopefully other events coming soon) to happen year-after year.

❤️ To Mike Nelson and the City of Aurora, IL, Government events staff, your expertise and excellence on parade day goes without saying.

❤️ To Two Brothers Roundhouse, your donations of the space and entertainment for the Official Afterparty every year is so extremely generous and allows us to collect proceeds to continue the Pride Parade tradition in downtown Aurora.
