How about another Word from Dick Gott?!

GOD OUR FATHER WANTS US TO KNOW HIM INTIMATELY
FCF DEVOTION FOR JULY 21, 2021 AMP

Last week we looked at scriptures in the Old Testament where GOD our Heavenly FATHER has chosen to reveal HIS nature and HIS very self to the children of Israel through the Prophet Isaiah. These scriptures and many more help us to understand how important ALL scripture is to us to reveal hidden truths we need today to give us a complete understanding of how HIS plan of the ages fits together. This says we need the OLD to complete the NEW to give us a better understanding of Who HE really is!
But this week we will tackle the New Testament and see how HE brings complete understanding of Who HE is and how HIS plan of the ages fits us for today. To understand this we need to place JESUS CHRIST here as the Messiah, and of course you must accept this truth by faith! We know the story of HIS coming to earth miraculously by HIS supernatural birth through the Virgin Mary. GOD our FATHER planned this from Eternity past by calling JESUS the LAMB slain before the foundation of the world. And if there be any doubt about the almighty power of the Son of God, turn with me to the Gospel of John 3:34: 'For since HE Whom GOD has sent speaks the words of GOD (proclaims GOD's own message) GOD does not give HIM HIS SPIRIT sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift GOD makes of HIS SPIRIT!' I am so grateful to give you this verse, for our FATHER did not send HIS SON JESUS to earth with limitations, but BOUNDLESS was the gift of HIS SPIRIT HE sent to be in HIS SON so that there was nothing HE was called upon to do while on earth that HE was not equipped and given supreme power to perform. This stands out as a key word that allows us to understand the supernatural power the SON of GOD was equipped with while here on earth to perform HIS mighty deeds! Then look into John 4:23-26 where JESUS is speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well: 'A time will come, however, indeed is already here, when the true worshippers will worship the FATHER in spirit and in truth (reality); for the FATHER is seeking just such people as these as HIS worshippers. GOD is SPIRIT and those who worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth. The woman said to HIM, I know that Messiah is coming, HE Who is called the CHRIST, and when HE arrives, HE will tell us everything we need to know and make it clear to us. JESUS said to her, I Who now speak to you am HE!' JESUS could not have been clearer in speaking to the Samaritan woman, telling her details about WHO the FATHER is and about HIS nature, but HE also clearly speaks here about Himself and Who is actually speaking to her. This is JESUS the CHRIST, speaking candidly to this woman about Who the FATHER is that sent HIM to earth on this mission, with firsthand knowledge of Who the FATHER is and JESUS' mission to reveal HIM to all mankind.

Let us now look at another scripture found in John 14 where JESUS is having a discussion with HIS disciples about HIS coming sacrifice, and Thomas says to HIM in verses 5-6:' LORD, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way? JESUS said to him, I Am the Way, and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the FATHER except by ME!' Again here JESUS makes it clear in this famous verse, that HE is the only way, and HE alone is the door to the FATHER and there is no other. Do you want eternal Life? JESUS is the only way to get there; the only access is through HIM! We will close this devotion in John 10:27-30: 'The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to MY voice; and I know them and they follow ME. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. And no one is able to sn**ch them out of MY Hand. MY FATHER, WHO has given them to ME, is greater and mightier than all, and no one is able to sn**ch them out of the FATHER's Hand! I and the FATHER are ONE!' JESUS says it all here, about Himself and HIS relationship with HIS FATHER. You and I who belong to HIM are able to hear HIS voice, and we do follow after HIM. Eternal life belongs to them alone, and if we belong to them, NOONE can sn**ch us away from them, for the TWO of them are ONE! Scripture declares, and I believe it! Do you? I pray that the truths shared here are convicting, as you look to your heavenly FATHER for relationship. Dick Gott
