Our specialized reading and writing curriculum, paired with focused group and one-on-one instruction, enables our teachers to meet each student at their current level and equip them with the personalized tools they need to build a robust foundation for their educational growth.

Our latest exploration into literacy has taken us on an engaging journey through writing personal narratives! Our students selected topics that resonate deeply with them, crafted impactful topic sentences that lay the groundwork for their stories, and mapped out their narratives with illustrations and notes, a process that enhances storytelling and helps organize thoughts in an enjoyable and effective manner. They learned to sequence events in a way that ensures their stories flow seamlessly, and enriched their narratives with descriptive language, dialogue, and sensory details to breathe life into their stories.

Last week, we took an incredible trip to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science! Our students witnessed firsthand the amazing work of paleontologists carefully preserving fossils during a special behind-the-scenes tour, connecting what they just learned in the classroom to the real world.
