Gayle Chung Healing Arts
Hello everyone!
We are officially into summer, and I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful weather.
Now that I have settled into my apartment in Portland and set up my studio in my new Augusta location, I am happy to say, I am back to massage work and teaching private LYT Yoga sessions.
I will continue to offer massage therapy, specializing in deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, and facilitated stretching. I will also continue to see clients for LYT Method sessions, which is a physical therapy-based and rehabilitative yoga practice.
In the past month, I have been exploring the beautiful modality of crystal singing bowls. I will offer private Reiki and crystal bowl sessions, as well as bigger group settings for sound baths and guided meditations soon. Please keep your eyes peeled for these new energetic offerings!
Be well, friends!

There have been a lot of tears shed in the past few weeks. As I move out of the Olde Federal Building and say goodbye to clients, I've had feelings of overwhelming loss and grief as these waves of emotions hit me.
My days are packed with massages, moving, and studying my 2 online courses of Anatomy and Physiology I & II with labs. Trying to balance self care so I can do the work. Sleep, fueling, drinking water, movement, and being in the moment. This morning, with my mind filled with all that I had to do, I stood outside with my son and hugged him close, told him I loved him, and watched a cardinal fly by with it's flash of bright red.
Yesterday was particularly hard and I cried to friends. They held me a listened and shared words of wisdom. Though things are hard right now, I am so grateful for the people in my life who have supported me and lifted me with their words and actions.
I know that I can do the work that needs to be done, and I count my blessings, as they are plentiful. I acknowledge the feelings, feel them, accept them, and let them move through as they need.
My purpose in life is to help others in their healing journeys. Though, I cannot do the work for you, I hope to better myself to lead by example. To shine my light to light the fire within you.
Thank you a million times over for your presense and being. Thank you for allowing me into your lives, I hope for the better.
As I continue on this new journey, I hope to continue to share insights and knowledge, to better equip you with the tools you need to heal.
Sending out to all of you so much love.

Hey, friends! I have some exciting news to share with you all. It has been a long and arduous process, but I am thrilled to announce that I have been accepted into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of New England!!!
I've been working hard to make this happen and I feel so relieved to finally receive my letter of acceptance. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done before the start of school in late August, but I'm ready to dive deeper into human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
Since I will be attending school full-time, I will have to move closer to the Portland and Biddeford campuses. Finding an apartment wasn't easy, but I was able to secure one and will start moving in June. This is a bittersweet moment for me as I'm excited about this new adventure, but I am also sad to be moving away from the people in Kennebec County whom I've grown to love since I moved to Maine in 2009.
To my family, friends, and clients, you've helped me grow into the woman I am today. I have found my passion, and I am determined to pursue it! Thank you all for your love and support.
