Barack Temple 256 celebrates Jubilee Day.
Many people may ask: What is Jubilee Day …
Prince Hall Shriners celebrate Jubilee Day each year on the Sunday closest to June 3rd. The day commemorates a historic 1929 U.S. Supreme Court victory that affirmed the right of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine (A.E.A.O.N.M.S.) to exist and operate under its name, symbols, and traditions. After a 15-year legal battle, the ruling became a powerful symbol of perseverance, unity, and justice.
Today, Jubilee Day is more than a celebration—it’s a time for Prince Hall Shriners to reflect on their legacy, give thanks for those who came before them, and recommit themselves to service, brotherhood, charity, and community uplift.
