Some days this job is all about wasps, spiders, rodents, and crawlspaces.

Other days I get to pull into a customer’s property and be greeted by a flock of curious chickens and ducks. 😂

Moments like this are a good reminder that running a local business is about so much more than pest control. It’s about meeting good people, seeing some beautiful properties, hearing your stories, and earning your trust.

I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who has supported Gingerly Pest Control. Every service call, every recommendation, every review, every like, and every share has helped us grow more than you probably realize.

I genuinely love serving this community, and I don’t take that for granted.

Thank you for letting me do what I love. ❤️

What’s the friendliest animal that’s ever greeted you when you pulled into someone’s property?

Knocked a wasp nest down at a customer’s home in Newcastle and could actually see a wasp emerging from the nest. Definitely not something you see everyday! We’ve been knocking these things down like crazy right now!

Quick tip for parents this summer.

I actually found this underneath one of my own son’s ride-on toys today.

Before your kids hop on bikes, ride-on toys, or anything that’s been sitting outside for a while, flip it over and take a quick look underneath. Black widows love dark, undisturbed places just like this.

Chances are you won’t find anything, but it only takes a few seconds to check and could save you from a nasty surprise.

As a dad, it’s something I always pay attention to this time of year. Hopefully this helps someone else out. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your summer! 🕷️☀️

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from Gingerly Pest Control! 🇺🇸

Today is about more than fireworks and BBQs. It’s a day to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of those who fought for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We’re incredibly grateful to call this community home. Thank you to our customers, neighbors, friends, first responders, military members, and everyone who helps make our corner of California such a great place to live and raise a family.

From our family to yours, we hope your Independence Day is filled with laughter, good food, time with loved ones, and a safe celebration.

❤️🤍💙 Happy Independence Day!

Came across this spider during a service today. They’re one of those spiders that most people never see because they like to stay tucked away in quiet, protected areas.

If you ever do get bitten, wash the area with soap and water, throw a cold pack on it, and get medical attention if you start having severe symptoms.

It’s just another reminder why a good inspection matters. 🐄

Great way to get rid of ants! 🐜

Watch what happens when these ants discover Advion Ant Gel. Instead of just killing the ants you see, the bait is carried back to the colony to help target the source of the problem.

If you’re dealing with ants around your home in Auburn or the surrounding Placer County area, Gingerly Pest Control is here to help.

Ever wonder why you’re seeing more cockroaches after a professional pest control treatment?

It can actually be a sign that the treatment is working.

As the product begins to take effect, hidden cockroaches are driven out of their hiding places and become more visible before the population starts to decline. While it may seem alarming at first, this is often a normal part of the process.

Watch the video, read the blog, and if you’re dealing with a cockroach problem in the Auburn area, we’re here to help.

Not every part of pest control is glamorous.

This was the end of the day in a hot, stuffy attic in Lincoln after an emergency follow-up call. Within 48 hours, we had placed four traps and caught three rats.

It was hot. It was dirty. It definitely wasn’t the best-smelling place to end the day.

But when a customer is counting on us, that’s exactly where we want to be.

That’s what Gingerly is all about—showing up, doing the work, and making sure the job gets done right.

One of the most common questions we hear is whether pest control is safe around pets and farm animals.

The answer is yes—when products are applied properly and according to the label, pest control can be performed safely around dogs, cats, livestock, and other animals. Every property is different, which is why we take the time to understand how a property is used before making any applications.

Whether we’re servicing a suburban backyard or a rural property with animals, our goal is to target pests while minimizing unnecessary exposure to people, pets, and beneficial insects.

We recently had a few curious friends follow us around during a service visit and thought it was the perfect opportunity to talk about pet-friendly pest control.

Wasp nest removal while preparing a Lincoln, CA home for sale.

This was a small home, but once we started inspecting the exterior, we found multiple wasp nests tucked away in the eaves and other protected areas around the property. With an open house coming up and temperatures heating up, we got everything cleaned up and treated so the home would be ready for showings.

It’s always a good idea to inspect for wasp activity before listing a home, especially during the warmer months when colonies become more active.
