Our Youth Summer Camp campers got hands-on creating homemade cat toys, then delivered them to some very excited CARE kitties! Watching our cats pounce, chase, and play with their new toys was the best reward. 🐾

A special thank you to Girl Scout Cora for leading this activity! Cora demonstrated how to make the toys and taught our campers about the importance of cat enrichment—especially in a shelter environment.

Enrichment helps reduce stress, encourages natural behaviors, provides mental stimulation, and keeps our cats happy and healthy while they wait for their forever families.

AAC Officers Ashley and Frankie showed our campers all of their tools, how to use them, and taught them all about their job! We are so grateful for our relationship with AAC and all they do for our community.

The kids really enjoyed the hands-on demonstrations, and of course, loved the lollipops Ashley handed out!
