Lavender Lotus Design

This was a fun custom design request and first time doing a hummingbird! Will be playing more with birds, flowers and insects. Total time MINUS sketching and researching was 5-6 hours. Choosing colors, prepping paints, mixing and creating colors all takes a fair bit of time on top of the actual painting. Drying in between layers adds time as well as the bake-curing process. I’m pleased with the result and am looking forward to how it will evolve.
