Wow, the "excellent adventure" continued, I have a lot to post on the incredible places that Gary and I have visited along the way and will in a few days. We have been in Orlando Fl. now for a couple of days at the WorldPac STX 2022 convention. We have both been teaching and hanging out with some of the most incredible instructors/industry leaders in our profession. In total, we are all presenting around 260 classes to about 2400 students in just a few day's time. It is an amazing accomplishment to pull this off. Words nor pictures can do it justice, you really need to experience it. Here are just a few pic's of our team in action. Gary, Craig and Cliff, all are incredible assets to our industry. The passion that these boys have is Just freaking incredible:)

The "excellent adventure" continues with our full day, hands-on scanner and labscope training in Lake Havasu (home of the London Bridge). I saw the biggest burrito (4ft and they ate the whole damn thing) that I have ever seen in my life as lunch was presented to our students. What an incredible group of technicians and a great day. We followed that up by beginning our eastward journey to Orlando Fl. for the STX 2022 Convention. Unfreaking believable travel last night through New Mexico, without a single motel room available. They were all absolutely packed and sold out, all of them literally dozens, Hard for me to understand why everyone wanted to be in the center of the middle of nowhere:) So, we ended up clocking about 1k miles and presenting a full day's class in about 26hrs. We finally found a motel in the night club and party central town of Vega Tx., great name for a town to a couple of gearheads.

The "excellent adventure" continues. The "DiagWag" delivered us to Palm Desert Ca. where we began our diagnostics/repair of the "failed smog" Corolla. We hit a home run on it, not only did we get it repaired but got the monitors run and were able to deliver the vehicle back to the owner with completed smog test in hand. It was truly rewarding to see the owners delighted reaction to what he thought was a doomed outcome. Due to the quick diag/repair we were now a bit ahead of schedule. So, what do a couple of gearheads like Gary 'n myself do? Yup, we took a few high speed runs in the Wags over one of the funnest roads our Nation has to offer. At approximately 18 miles long the Dillan road is a freaking blast. We were giggling like school girls as the Wags tore it up. She may be a bit long in the tooth but no doubt she loved the suspension workout. She even showed us a bit of gratitude with a broken belt in a front tire:)

Check out these door panels in this Uber ride from the airport to the Vision conference. The owner says he has a very excteable Corgi. These are both the rears and the fronts look the same. It's been a while since I've seen this type of damage:). If you look closer at the pics you can see that all the damage is done to just the door handle area, guess he wanted the doors opened.

Thanks Casey Orndorf, this gave me a smile. In my classes, I commonly refer to the diagnosis of cars being a bit like a roll playing video game with puzzles. The big difference is that when we got stuck and couldn't figure something out we just went down to the game store and snuck a peek at a strategy guide. It was (and still is) quite a bit like cheating but the frustrations were real:). Our industry would be a lot easier if we had the same super secret decoder guides to aid us in our vehicle diagnostics/repairs.
