It's interesting how Mark 13:13 is used to support the idea that "persevering to the end" is applied to our eternal salvation. Phil Kasses posts memes on a regular basis that present this idea. I replied to a recent post where he used Mark 13:13 to support that idea. Here is what I stated: "Look at the context of that verse and the word "saved". The Greek word is "sōzō - σώζω" which means to be safe. it isn't talking about eternal salvation. If the word was sōtēria - σωτηρία, then it means eternal salvation."
