When this oceanfront home is completed and sold, the seller will pay New Jersey’s updated Mansion Tax — a tiered transfer fee on high-value real estate transactions that increases as the price of a property rises.

Those revenues fund public schools, health care, and property-tax relief — investments that help make life more affordable for working families and seniors across Atlantic County.

Yet Guardian and Swift voted against the state budget, opposing these investments because they did not want luxury property owners to contribute their fair share.

That choice says a lot about priorities.

While they protected the wealthy few, I’ll stand with the families who make Atlantic County home.
