Handling criticism like this will always poison a relationship. It will cause the other person to eventually resent you because they know they can never actually address anything with you even if it’s calmly

A great response would have been:
“Aw man I apologize. I just like to joke. I don’t want you to think I mean it. You have mentioned this before. I gotta realize when I’m doing it. I see how it can be seen as passive aggressive. Certain things just don’t need a joke. I’ll try to do better. Can you let me know how I’ve done after like a week or 2?”

I got a PRP injection in my lower lumbar. It’s hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be.

I’m currently 1 hour post op and if this is the worst it gets, I’d give it like 6/7 on the pain scales. Not excruciating or unbearable but definitely pain involved. Mostly discomfort.

I didn’t do any sedation. The local anesthesia was enough. I would do it again if absolutely necessary but obviously nobody wants to volunteer for discomfort
