A weekend of family! Yesterday my grandson and his wife had a beautiful baby shower for the upcoming birth of “Mackenzie”. We are so excited about that. Today I threw an old fashion bbq where everyone brought a dish. The menu: Chopped pork bbq that I spent a couple days smoking the Boston’s butts. Seafood pasta salad, bbq chicken, hot wings, bbq wings, fried fish (cooked outdoors in the cast iron pot. Of course hotdogs and hamburgers, too many sides and desserts to name. But the best part was having my 95 year old uncle Floyd Everett, And the auntie I spent my summers with , my beautiful “Aunt Flossie” It was truly a beautiful blessing to be among family especially because in my mind I am always a little girl whenever I am in their presence. I love celebrating family and it was suggested that I hold an annual family bbq. Hmmmm! Maybe I will!!!
