Before you celebrate Independence Day this weekend... ❤️🤍💙 Remember, your celebration- or any celebration for that matter- doesn't have to be picture-perfect to be meaningful.

It’s easy to feel like special days like this should be filled with the biggest fireworks, the best cookout, festive decorations, and everything going exactly as planned.

BUT just a reminder…

The most meaningful part of special days isn't found in doing more. It is found by being present and intentional in the way you celebrate.

Whether you are planning or hosting any event, if expectations start to feel overwhelming, consider letting go of the pressure to make everything perfect.

Instead, choose ONE THING to care about and make sure you check in with yourself throughout the day to be fully present.
Notice who is talking to whom.
If there are flowers, literally smell them.
Take mental snapshots of what is going on around you.
Literally pause and take everything in.
Those are often the moments that stay with us the longest.

This weekend, give yourself permission to trade perfection for presence.
