Melissa first donated with ABS back in 2003 for a coworker. She returned in 2023 to support the sister of a friend, and since then, she has made 30 platelet donations, continuing to show up for patients fighting cancer, leukemia, and other serious illnesses.

In Melissa’s own words: “Unfortunately, I’ve known of far too many people who have had their lives altered by diseases like cancer and leukemia. What began as a simple ask from a coworker in 2003 has now become my way of volunteering and giving back to strangers. I’m happy to play a small part in recovery for people fighting every day.”

Melissa, thank you for your kindness, consistency, and incredible heart for patients. Your 75 donations represent hope, strength, and support for families facing some of their hardest days.

💛 You Are Not Alone Platelet Drive 💛

This July, we are honored to celebrate Heather’s 2-year re-birthday by turning her milestone into hope for others.

Heather knows firsthand how much support matters during treatment. In honor of her survivorship, she is rallying friends, family, and our community to donate platelets for local cancer patients who depend on lifesaving transfusions.

Throughout July, platelet donations made in Heather’s honor will help support patients in need — and prizes earned through the drive will be donated to current patients as a reminder that they are not alone. 💛

Heather’s goal is 24 platelet donations on July 17 — celebrating 24 months of survivorship!
