🎤 Meet Makenna Lyric: a Montana-born, Black le***an composer, producer, and ambient folk artist. With two self-produced albums out (Leap! and Carve It On Every Stone), her music beautifully explores themes of self-discovery, sexuality, love, loss, and change. Her identity is central to her art, driving her to inspire others to prioritize their own desires and purpose above all else.

✨ Catch her twice on Sunday, June 28th:
•1:40 PM: Performing live on the outdoor stage at the festival’s artist market.

• 6:30PM: Head over to The Plaza Theater for the screening of “Mercury’s Stars,” by Maia Elise Helvy at the closing event of the festival, Cineq***r.

🍿More about the short film: This poetic, three-part documentary series spotlights three Black Q***r musicians whose art, identity, and friendship intertwine. The first installment follows Makenna’s journey as a self-taught musician leaving her small town for Atlanta, seeking creative growth and chosen family.
