SG Contracting is proud to partner with Global Village Project (GVP) on the transformation of their new campus in Decatur, GA — a space dedicated to educating and empowering refugee girls. The 3.2-acre campus will include 12 classrooms, STEAM labs, health and wellness facilities, a cafeteria, and an auditorium. Having already broken ground and project demolition in progress, scheduled renovation completion is tentatively set for next fall, 2026. Members of the SG Contracting staff recently visited the Georgia State Capitol to observe the ongoing renovations in the legislative offices of the Senate and House of Representatives. The project is making significant progress in "Phase Two" of its four-part plan, which is expected to be completed by late 2025. We are grateful for SG's continued partnership with Balfour Beatty US, Garbutt Construction Company, Georgia State Finance & Investment Commission (GSFIC), and the Georgia Building Authority (GBA) during this monumental restoration of our state capitol.

"Phase Two" of the four-part stage of SG's Partnership with Balfour Beatty US and Garbutt Construction Company at the State of Georgia Capitol is currently underway, having begun last April and is scheduled to end in late 2025. The current phase involves the meticulous restoration of the entire interior of the House and Senate Chambers walls and ceilings, including upgrading the MEP and voting systems, restoring decorative plaster and paint, repairing all millwork finishes, and restoring the entire 240 legislative desks. SG is grateful to be working alongside the Georgia State Finance & Investment Commission (GSFIC), Balfour Beatty, and Garbutt on one of Georgia's most historic renovation projects, which will have a significant impact on the State Capitol for years to come.
