Let’s be honest about Charlie Kirk’s life — and death We can hold two thoughts in our head at the same time.

I wish Christians parents could understand the profound impact they have on their q***r children. So many end up harming themselves for lack of acceptance and the “unconditional love” of a parent. It’s disgraceful.

This is so true. Most Xtian kids are encouraged to go to Xtian universities for this very reason (you know, the ones with all the scandals). When I went back to school at age 36, a public university is where I really began my deconversion. This is where I was exposed to reality. The reality that all the people who were said to be a danger and I should keep myself separate from, were some of the kindest, most truly moral people I had ever met. Those who, instead of picketing against the LGBTQIA community and abortion clinics, etc, were providing acceptance and love and were meeting real needs in a tangible way.
