I think Scott got a little slap happy from mutli-hour signing sessions at Motor City Comic Con. I'm signing all these tomorrow and maybe do a little embellishing as well. I hear they might be included in a Whatnot happening in a few days with Scott but *shush*, you didn't hear it from me.

My Absolute Batman #20 variants have arrived! They're being signed by Scott Snyder this weekend at Detroit Motor City Comic Con and then by me on Monday. I love that you can see the glow in the dark bat symbol in the light. Can't wait to see how well it glows.

This is a huge issue featuring the debut of Absolute Two-face. If you've seen the designs for this character, you know Mark had to draw him. And as usual, Mark won't be revealing the cover until the drop. That said, He's going to put up a teaser image tonight at 12:01am. Please read all the way to the bottom because we have a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT that you'll want to hear!

DROP DETAILS!

Tomorrow's drop will have 2 editions available-

Cardstock trade dress- limited to 650 editions online($50)

Cardstock Glow-in-the-Dark virgin- limited to 550 editions online($65)

Both editions can be bought individually or in bundles(save$5) and Mystery Item bundles(save $5). Additionally, both editions can be upgraded to signed by Mark, signed by Mark and Scott Snyder, sketch/remarqued, and CGC grading. All books come with a COA

We will also be randomly inserting 20 Kanji signature editions that also includes a Scott Snyder "notes from Gotham" blurb to random people that purchased a signed edition. These will be done completely random so you automatically have the chance to pull a super rare edition just by purchasing!

THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!

There's a third variant! We wanted to do something special since this is the last time we can do spot foil or Glow in the Dark so we have created a 3rd spot foil variant we're calling 'The flipside variant'. The book features the cover image as a polarized negative with a graphic foil overlay on a cardstock cover. It's quite stunning if we say so ourselves.

For the online drop- The first 500 will only be available to people that bought either or both of the first 2 variants. The drop for the special foil enhanced Flipside cover will happen on June 4th at 12 noon EST. A link to the secret store will be sent out to everyone that purchased the #21 drop as well as all Brigade Members just prior to the drop. WHATNOT LIVE- Additionally, Scott Snyder and Mark will be hosting a Whatnot sale on Sunday June 7th at 1pm EST to drop the remaining 300 copies to the general public!

This will be a one hour Whatnot live show where Scott and Mark will talk all things Absolute Batman, answer questions, and do a ton of giveaways as well as auctions for special remarked and signed editions. We'll also be dropping all 300 editions at the original price all at once.

Painting Punisher's face was the hardest part of this cover. I tried painting it with the black and white jungle make-up but it kept looking strange. I finally realized I'd need to paint his face normal and then apply the makeup with the black as a multiply layer of greyish blue and the white as a screen layer of pale blue. The key was being able to see the normal face rendering under the make-up. Still not completely satisfied but better than my initial attempts.
