This small freight elevator is located on the rooftop helipad at 222 Mitchell Street in . It’s purpose was for secure money deposits from a helicopter directly down to the Citizens & Southern Bank vault on the ground floor in this building’s previous life. This is the first I’d ever even heard of something like this, and I’m curious to see how it’ll be incorporated into the redevelopment of this amazing rooftop space!

The telephone receivers that I shot in were some of my favorite subjects. Not only does this plastic coil-corded object take us back to the 1900’s, it also acts as a simple symbol representing the importance of two-way communication that I think is both fun and beautiful - especially during this year of the pandemic! This phone is located on the stairwell to the helipad at 222 Mitchell Street in , previously a C&S Bank office building.
