Atlanta Freedom Bands

Today is the 17th International Transgender Day of Visibility. On this annual remembrance, we celebrate our Transgender siblings and recognize the contributions they make and have made to society. While we at AFB love doing that in a parade, such as the annual Trans March during the Atlanta Pride festival, we also try to be a supportive ally to our Transgender members and our local community.

The day also gives us a moment of take stock of the work that still needs to be done to achieve full equality and spread acceptance and awareness. AFB is rooted in the same soil that produced the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement. We are proud to continue the work that advances equality for all people.
