🎬🎤 Meet the man behind the boom… and apparently behind the sets too! 🔥 Sam Hill

This past weekend on the set of Revolution of Influence, Sam officially stepped into the role of Boom Operator—and let’s just say he made it look easy.

Most people think boom operating is just holding a microphone over an actor’s head. 🎙️ Wrong.

It’s timing. Precision. Endurance. Focus. Capturing every word while staying completely out of the shot. One missed cue and an entire take can be affected.

But here’s the plot twist… 👀

Not only did we discover that Sam is an incredible Boom Operator, we also learned that HE BUILDS SETS! 🤯

And because no good deed goes unpunished in independent filmmaking, he also got thrown in front of the camera and became Isaac Jones, Jr. 🎭😂

That’s the beauty of indie film. One minute you’re working sound. The next minute you’re building a set. The minute after that, you’re in the scene.

This past weekend on the set of , we celebrated a major milestone as Ebony officially stepped into the role of 2nd Assistant Camera (2AC) for the very first time! 🙌🏾

Many people think the 2AC simply calls out scene numbers and claps the slate… but that’s only a fraction of the story. From maintaining camera reports and managing media workflow to supporting the camera department and helping keep production running smoothly, the 2AC is a critical piece of the filmmaking machine.

Every slate tells a story. Every setup requires precision. Every day on set is an opportunity to learn, grow, and master the craft.
