Purpose Built Schools Atlanta

Price transformed into an inspiring Academic Expo this spring, highlighting the creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills of our 6-8 grade students. At the PBL showcase, students presented their work and solutions to complex, relevant questions, including:
- How can we design a culturally authentic and environmentally responsible food truck inspired by a Latin American country?
- How can we, as global citizens, design an innovative airline to make travel and global connections more sustainable and inclusive for people and the planet?
- How might we design a tiny home that contributes to a thriving and sustainable community?

Slater Elementary K-2 graders displayed their final PBL products this spring at the Slater STEAM Showcase! The showcase included a "Trash to Treasure" fashion show to display upcycled fashion items and STEAM activity booths from GSU's Center of Behavioral Neuroscience. Students built a neuron, touched real brains, and participated in a sink or float challenge. It was an amazing day!

Carver STEAM students reached an exciting milestone: producing a mini-documentary that is now streaming on The Roku Channel through a partnership with Fresh Films, a nonprofit production company empowering youth through creative skills training and career development.
