ANNOUNCEMENT:
Hello; many of you have been asking for updates about the club this semester. Unfortunately, due to the CRC’s COVID-19 restrictions and budget suspensions on sports clubs, we have to limit our operations. Below are the updates for this semester:
1. We will NOT have official GT Boxing Club practices this semester. I know this is frustrating since practices are the heartbeat of our club’s activity, but there is simply no way to do them safely under the CRC’s guidelines.
2. There will be NO dues this semester. While we might sell some merchandise and equipment, it will not cost any money to be a club member.
3. We will still do our best to remain fit as a club. Stay tuned for possible things like group runs, live/pre-recorded virtual workouts, and other informal activities.
4. We are still allowed to meet as a club, and we hope to keep up the bond that our team has, either through a stronger social media presence or some small group hangouts.
5. If you would still like to train at Terri’s gym, please contact her directly (678) 334-8204. If you train with her, it will be independent of the club and you will have to pay her directly—unfortunately it will cost about $100/month, which may be out of a lot of people’s budgets.
We know this sucks, but we’re doing our best to keep the club together under all these restrictions. Stay tuned for updates on the aforementioned activities, and let us know if you have any questions.
