I usually like to post from Las Vegas on my birthday, but this year I’m spending the actual day in Louisville, Kentucky (a.k.a. the bourbon capital) I don’t drink bourbon, but here is one of my favorite coffee spots. 🤗 And now for the mushy stuff…

This time last year, I was in a really heavy space, grieving the loss of friends, uncertain about the direction I wanted to go, and just overall not feeling my best. I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to make it another year, but here I am.

In recent years I had kind of given up on myself, and a lot of things that I wanted to do - probably just overwhelmed after losing my dog, watching so many friends get sick and pass - it all just made me not want to think about the future much anymore. But God, good friends and the universe had other plans…

Thank you to my longtime friends who have been on my side. You all know who you are - I’m never ashamed to let you know I love you.

I want to say thank you so much to Tariq and Matt for giving me a shot and believing and trusting in me and my work, and my whole RL team, you are the best! And thank you to Wil and Pace by default - you did a beautiful thing! Excited for what’s to come!!

Thank you to Deitrick for putting up with my dm’s for the last three years 😩😂 and allowing me to be a real friend in your life. You’re an inspiration!

I love the fact that I’ve been able to turn a corner in the past few years of my career, and I’m so appreciative of everyone who has believed in me and continued to cheer me on. Thank you to my super talented clients, and clients who have become real friends. You all mean the world to me!!

I’m also thankful for the relationships that I no longer have - removing toxicity and stress from my life has been a big component in finding happiness the past year, and regardless of anything, I wish nothing but the best and true happiness for everybody. The love is the same.

I am grateful to God for giving me room in my heart to be open to hope and dream again, and for providing throughout every uncertainty. Thank you for another year - thank you to all of you who encourage me and love me.
