🎤 Fractal Futures: An Artist Talk with Steve R. Allen
Join Hammonds House Museum for Fractal Futures, an inspiring conversation with acclaimed artist Steve R. Allen on Friday, July 18, from 1:00–3:00 PM.
Presented in conjunction with his dual exhibitions, Infinite Inheritance and O Jogo Bonito (The Beautiful Game), this engaging artist talk explores Black identity, spirituality, cultural continuity, and the limitless possibilities of Black futures.
Moderated by Tisha Smith, owner of Art You Better, LLC, Public Art Manager/Curator for Fulton County, and co-curator of the exhibitions, the conversation will delve into Allen's artistic journey and the evolution of his distinctive "Fractal Afro Futuristic" visual language. Learn how sacred geometry, ancestral knowledge, mathematics, music, athletics, and history converge within his work, and hear the story of his selection by the City of Atlanta as its official artist during the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games—a milestone that continues to inspire O Jogo Bonito (The Beautiful Game).
