I wonder if the photographer "calculated" where the moon would be by, you know, calculating or whether he got up several nights in a row and watched.

At 4:07 a.m. today, engineering student Richard Xiong captured this incredible image of an almost total lunar eclipse at the precise moment the moon was positioned at the top of Tech Tower. He calculated the moon’s exact placement to be able to capture this moment — and the chance to take this photo again may not come again for hundreds of years.
