We are celebrating Preservation Month with a special two-part tour series, and we’re kicking things off by diving into the soul of Sweet Auburn.

Come take a stroll with us and down one of the world's most iconic streets.

We will explore the legendary "Chitlin Circuit" venues that once hosted the biggest icons, including the Royal Peacock and Pal's Lounge.

We will also take some time to admire the vibrant public art that keeps this history alive today.

Celebrate Small Business Saturday on November 30 at the Spark Innovation Lab for our Small Business Saturday Shopping Event from 2:00-6:00 pm!

The Sweet Auburn Historic District is proud to participate in the nationwide event to highlight and support small businesses in one of the nation's most historically rich African American commercial districts.

Attendees will have the opportunity to shop at a wide variety of local entrepreneurs and niche retailers that line the streets of the Sweet Auburn Historic District and throughout the Old 4th Ward.

Within the SAW SPARK Lab, we will feature these six brands that call Sweet Auburn home throughout the holiday season.
