DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TRAGEDY. 21 year old Elajia Whitley was killed in a domestic violence shooting by a former partner in Duluth, Gwinnett County Police said.

Police said the shooter is 23 year old Caprice Hudson, who after a short chase outside of Augusta in Columbia County, died by su***de.

Elajia’s family told me the shooting happened outside of her work. Elajia had two jobs, a phlebotomy certificate, and was going to school to become a surgery tech.

The family is bringing attention, and pleading with those in domestic violence situations to speak up and seek help.
