For the woman who needs to hear this...

Somewhere between our successes and heart wrenching failures God finds us.

Anyway.

We as women of God adorn ourselves in heels one day and don the work boots the next and some where in between our hearts struggle to know who we really are. Struggle to know our worth among all that life throws our way.

We compare ourselves to her and belittle ourselves because of them and lose ourselves in all the confusion.

Despite the days that we fall, we feel less than and not enough and even on the days that we look in the mirror to see our mascara is smudged, we find dirt under our salon done nails, and we are anything but IG perfection, God reminds us that He still calls us beautiful, beloved, worthy and His very own daughters.

Even on the days we sit down in our ashes thinking it is all over, the sun still shines in the morning, joy still finds us, and God’s mercy shows up yet again.

He gives us a change of clothes, a change of shoes and puts a new song in our heart. Over and Over again.

Anyway.

David took down the giant one day and killed an innocent man the next. He wore a crown one day and ran for his life from his own failed relationship with his son the next. He graced the palace floors one day and stumbled along the wilderness road the next. And yet God called him a man after his own heart.

Anyway.

Proverbs 24:16 says, “For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.” And because of that we never sit down defeated ever. We get to rise again.

Because of the blood of Jesus, we will always have an Anyway.

You can’t cancel it out, mess it up, or ever cause it to be null and void. No matter what you have done or how miserably you have failed, when you seek for God with all your heart you will find that He was still there through it all. He never left you. Not for one minute.

We can always thank God for Anyway.
