The statistics are alarming: fentanyl accounted for nearly 70% of all opioid-related deaths in recent years. It's crucial to remember that many people don't know they are consuming fentanyl, especially when it’s mixed with other drugs.

Here’s how you can help:
1. Stay Informed: Knowledge is power. Understand the signs of an overdose.
2. Spread the Word: Share this information with friends and family. Awareness can save lives!
3. Support: Advocate for mental health and addiction resources in your community.
4. Carry Naloxone: If you or a loved one is at risk, keeping naloxone (Narcan) on hand can be a lifesaver.

Court paves the way for addiction treatment in prisons and jails - STAT A federal appeals court ruled that a woman jailed in Maine is entitled to receive medication for opioid use disorder. All states should follow that ruling.
