Sunday Reflection: A friend told me long ago, sometimes you need to stop and realize how far you’ve come. When you’ve been moving forward one step at a time, pause and look back - you may have just walked a mile.

I loved this place so much because my father helped me with the setup and buildout. He has since passed on but his mark was certainly left on my first studio. Also lots of laughs were shared and it got me through COVID. Who knew 300sqft would mean so much!

In the early 1900s, Madam Washington founded the **Apex News and Hair Company** and later the **Apex College of Beauty Culture and Hairdressing**, creating groundbreaking skincare and haircare products tailored for Black women. Her work not only transformed the beauty industry but also empowered countless women with education and opportunities.
