Portugal Calling: Fintech House

I was pleased to have been invited to participate in Fintech House's Easter luncheon in Lisbon. It was well-attended, but as a general practice, I try to keep people out of my social media photos when I can, when those photos would be close-ups.

But I'd estimate that around 50 people attended. There was fantastic energy, and I met people from China, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Portugal, of course, and even an acquaintance from the US.

Fintech House is an incubator dedicated to supporting fintech startups, and that's what I found. It made me think a lot about Atlanta, which has a nice fintech community of its own, of course.

My pictures didn't do the meal justice - again, as I tried to avoid putting people in my photos. I told the organizers it was likely the best meal I'd eat that week! With great willpower, I resisted the wine bar as the view and the 68-degree weather did tug at me to do the dolce vita thing.

Fintech House is housed inside Sitio, one of Lisbon's many coworking spaces. It's a welcoming, modern location that would be easy to be productive in.

I made some very exciting contacts to follow up on next week, and I'm already looking forward to the next event!
